Be a Star While Solving Math

Do your kiddos HATE Math? Do your kiddos LOVE being a star?

Then I have something up my sleeve for you…

My favorite part of being a TpT author is getting to create items for my friends’ classrooms. They are often in a crunch planning lessons, organizing their classrooms, communicating with parents, etc that gathering resources ends up being a chore. But luckily, they know someone who can make exactly what they need when the moment calls- ME!

One of my girlfriends had a classroom Hollywood theme so I started creating a bunch of Hollywood items that she could utilize.

However, there was one resource she was really in need of- most of her kiddos were struggling in Math and could benefit from a fun resource. So I combined the Hollywood classroom theme + a Math resource in a fun graphic organizer. (A little trickery to entice learners never hurt, right?)

My girlfriend was in the midst of teaching solving word problems and boy did her kiddos struggle pulling out the necessary information, making sense of the word problem, and correctly solving. This Hollywood inspired math story problem graphic organizer template can be used to encourage students to break down a word problem, pull out the necessary facts, and solve. It includes sections to record information in number form, jot down key words, illustrate the problem through pictures, and write a final number sentence equation.
