Founded by educator, author, and instructional coach Gretchen Bridgers, Always A Lesson exists to help turn professional learning into meaningful action.

We believe growth happens when educators have access to practical strategies, strong support, meaningful feedback, and opportunities to apply what they are learning over time.

How Always A Lesson Began

Always A Lesson began with a simple idea: there is always something to learn.

While teaching elementary school, Gretchen began sharing the lessons she was learning in her classroom through the Always A Lesson blog. What started as a place to reflect on teaching quickly became a way to support other educators navigating many of the same challenges.

As educators became busier, the mission expanded.

The Empowering Educators podcast was created so teachers and leaders could access encouragement, practical ideas, and professional learning wherever they were—on the way to school, at the gym, or in the middle of everyday life.

Over time, Always A Lesson continued to grow alongside the educators it served—expanding from classroom resources and content into books, professional learning, instructional leadership resources, coaching, and consulting.

What We Believe

Professional learning should do more than inspire.

It should help people understand what to do next, give them the tools to put new learning into practice, and provide the support necessary to keep growing.

Small, intentional shifts in practice can create meaningful changes in classrooms, teams, and schools.

And when educators grow, the people they serve grow too.
