About Sahur

Sahur Augsteen is a Campus Instructional Coach with five years of experience in education. Prior to becoming an instructional coach, she was an educator in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development (Hook ’em!), before going on to earn her Master’s in Urban Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University. Coming from a family of educators, she feels that teaching is her calling! Sahur is an instructional leader who truly believes in the power of education and has seen how a dedicated teacher can change the trajectory of a student’s life. Sahur loves to cheer others on! So much so that it is what she can be seen doing while coaching and supporting educators daily. Fostering relationships, being a servant leader and working alongside educators to help them polish their skills and talent is what bring her the most joy. She believe in continuously growing and dedicating herself to excellence. As a teacher, she was awarded Teacher of the Year her third and final year of being in the classroom. She has also been a mentor to first-year teachers and never misses the chance to make new staff on campus feel welcomed and supported! Outside of school, she loves to stay involved at church, spend time with family, drink coffee and work out. She can be found by the lake fishing or reading on any summer day. She always finds value in the small moments and looks for ways to spread kindness and love toward everyone she meets.
