Are you down with a Webby?

Webinars, informally known as webbies, are the new way to share information virtually. Simply place content on a PowerPoint slide and use a recording software to present your content to listeners around the globe! We no longer have to be inhibited geographically- information can now be at your fingertips.

I have jumped on the bandwagon because I have attended numerous webbies this past year and wanted to share tips and tricks that I have learned with others. In answer to the title of this post, I am definitely down with a webby!

Are you?

The main topic I am on fire for is giving and receiving quality professional development sessions to staff. The first way to ensure you are able to create and provide high quality content is to be connected with powerful thought leaders in education- professionals who are passionate and innovative in the classroom. I find these people on Twitter through weekly Twitter chats.

When I originally signed up for Twitter, I really didn’t understand how to use it or what the point of the platform was for an educator like me. I mean, don’t people just post when they go to Starbucks or something? Who cares! Luckily, my district had a weekly chat to discuss all things education and I instantly fell in love with the connecting tool of Twitter! That one chat allowed me the opportunity to “meet” some great educators in my district that I would not have met otherwise. Also, that one chat lead me to check out other weekly educational chats. Now, I participate in over a dozen chats on any given week (okay, I might be a bit obsessed, but I learn so much from these educators that I can’t get enough!).

I want you to experience the power of Twitter. Check out my first webby below:

1. Twitter Webinar

Connect with elite educators around the globe while you sit in your pj’s on your couch! Twitter chats happen weekly on all kinds of topics with educators of all experience levels. It’s super easy and convenient to learn from and with inspiring educators.  Come join in on the fun!

The Twitter webby makes it very clear how to create a Twitter profile, find people to connect with, and even join in on a chat! Go check it out and come back to tell me all about your experience!

Now that you know how to connect with other elite educators near and far on Twitter, I want to help teacher leaders like you to create professional development [PD] sessions that empower teachers to gain effectiveness in the classroom for the success of their students. I am so exhausted from going to boring PD sessions. It’s time we liven it up with applicable practices so teachers leave the session having practiced and received feedback so they can begin implementing what was learned immediately.

If you are interested in how to make a PD session come alive, check out this webby below:

2. Leading Efficient & Engaging PD Sessions

Say ‘So Long’ to those boring PD sessions and say ‘Hello’ to being inspired and engaged!

There’s even a bonus resource available to help you as you watch! Grab the Webinar Guide today.

As you can see I am all about upping our game as educators- through powerful connections and productive learning environments. The success of our students depends on the capability and opportunity available to the educators that lead them.
