Thrifty Thursday

Each week I bring to you helpful tips to become a more effective educator on the Always A Lesson fan page on Facebook. (Give it a quick like by clicking here!) I decided to start grouping my social media posts into a blog post incase you might have missed anything.

Time to get caught up:

1. Low on paper? Grab white board markers and have kiddos write on the windows!
2. Plastic table cloths make great bulletin board paper!
3. Cut sponges into tiny squares = mini white board erasers
4. Local eateries will donate straws for science and math lessons – just ask!
5. Can’t afford a stage for Ss to share their writing?? how about a special costume to wear- hat, cape, sunglasses, etc!
6. Have a jewelry hanger? Use it to store math manipulatives or frequently used classroom items!
7. If you can’t buy classroom decor, it’s ok! blank classroom walls make for a great landscape for Ss work to be displayed
8. Old cds make for great coasters, bathroom passes, or vocab review toss games!
9. Grab an old baking sheet, place numbers or letters onto magnets = instant center activity
10. Snag some unused moving boxes and set up reading nooks for your kiddos!#flexibleseating
