Welcome to the Always A Lesson Website!
Whether you are teaching a lesson or learning one yourself, this website is for you!
What am I here to do for you?
I am here to empower you (teachers and coaches) to gain instructional effectiveness in the classroom through the content and resources I share here.
What do YOU need to do?
1) Start by snagging a freebie just for visiting Always A Lesson- a gift from me to you! Click here.
2) The resources here are for you to get empowered to become your best Edu-Self. Go ahead and take a look around. You will find a blog, podcast, educational resources and consulting services available.
- Blog– where readers can see inside my classroom. Read each post to get the “inside scoop” on what is currently happening in our city’s classrooms. Each post ends with a question; don’t be shy, interact! Watch as I grow from teacher to teacher leader in 3 years’ worth of unpolished and real classroom experience posts.
- Podcast– where listeners can have access to the Always A Lesson audio blog called “Empowering Educators” podcast. It is geared towards teachers of all experience levels: tips and tricks for new and aspiring teachers, hot button topics for career teachers, and motivating reminders to transitioning teachers and those in distress, and guidance for teacher leaders.
- Consulting Services– where educators of all experience levels can receive individualized and/or group virtual mentorship and coaching to increase their instructional effectiveness in the classroom.
- Educational Resources– where teachers can find excellent instructional resources and webinars available on my Teachable website and TeachersPayTeachers store. (Click here to sign up for your own store using her personal affiliate code!) Teachable webinars are geared towards new teachers and teacher mentors/coaches. TpT resources target elementary teachers, especially in grades 3-5, in all subject areas. Reviews are welcomed.
Gretchen, your blog sent me back to several “special” classes I had in my teaching career. I was lucky enough to loop with them, so I had them two years. Good thing, cause I was not ready to let them go!
I know the end of the year will be bittersweet for you. It sounds like they have been equipped not only educationally, but also with the necessary lifetime skills needed for success. I know I still follow my former students(who are now adults!), which only proves we carry them in our heart ,the rest of our lives! hoping you have a wonderful summer. (I’m impressed with your national certification.)
Way to go!
Carolee

Thanks for the comment on The Things You Can Read-http://thethingsyoucanread.blogspot.com/ I’m glad you had fun playing with the The Newspaper Snippet Generator. Did you try any of the other tools? I’d love to know how you end up using it in the classroom or on your blog. Feel free to share the post (http://thethingsyoucanread.blogspot.com/2012/08/extra-extra-read-all-about-it.html) with anyone you think might find it useful.
